Through this image I attempted to convey my interests and things important to me in one photo. It include my yard in the winter, my cabin and my 3 cats all of which have significant meaning to me. In the photo I started my diligently removing all pieces on the background without removing any of my hair which I love. I then put two locations in my background, My cabin which you can clearly see and my yard with a sunset which creates that ray of light you see through my slightly transparent selfie. I also included my 3 cats because they mean a lot to me. Through my inclusion of these meaningful things to me you can see why I created this peice and titled it "Ray of light" Because I included many brighter senes and my cats which light up my days constantly.
Throughout the length of this trimester I learned many things about both taking, and editing photos, from how to quickly but cleanly delate unwanted parts of a photo, create allusions with photoshop, create a feeling using colors, and taking pictures from interesting angles. With this new double exposure selfie I didn't want to go above and beyond like I did with my first one; I kept it simple but clean and I think it reflects my growth as an artist. In my first Double-exposure selfie I took many photos and spent 4 days working on making it look amazing, in my new one I took 45 minutes in total and instead of adding 5 aspects I showed how cleanly I could erase my background and how I was able to use editing in making a balanced photo. Instead of speading hours on erasing every part of my hair I learned how to cleanly eep what I want aiding tword I smoother outcome which, think, was my greatest accomplishment this trimester.
